Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Medication Management
Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) sessions, including the initial evaluation, are about 45 minutes to one hour in length. Medication evaluations are about 45 minutes in length and follow-up appointments related to medication are about 15 to 20 minutes in length.
CBT is usually once per week and lasts about three to five months, though some situations may require more or less frequent meetings, and can be shorter or longer in duration depending on the situation. Medication follow-up appointments are typically monthly. After the first or second session, we can give you an estimate regarding how long your treatment should last.
