About Dr. Messina
Michael Messina, PsyD, is the founder and owner of Dr. Messina & Associates in Southlake, and Flower Mound, Texas. Dr. Messina & Associates is a multidisciplinary, full service mental health practice providing in-person and online psychological and psychiatric services to children, adolescents, adults, and couples. We provide cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), medication management, and psychological testing for a variety of needs. Check out our Services page to learn more.
Dr. Messina started this practice with the mission to instill hope, empower change, and improve the lives of everyone encountered. His vision was to build a comprehensive practice where clients can receive psychological and psychiatric services in the same office. This initiative has helped clients receive more integrated care, as their providers can collaborate their treatment plans more effectively. Dr. Messina & Associates hold steadfastly to the core values of excellence, integrity, compassion, and reliability.
Dr. Messina is an experienced licensed psychologist with two decades of clinical experience, specializing in anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. He received a Doctorate in Psychology from Alliant International University, in San Diego, CA. Dr. Messina utilizes his expertise to help his patients meet their goals, and live healthy, fulfilling lives.
In addition to working with patients, Dr. Messina has held faculty positions and has appeared as a guest lecturer at several universities, presented at numerous community organizations, and has collaborated with media outlets, such as, Business Talk Radio, CBS “The Doctors”, CNBC, Cross Timbers Lifestyle, and Southlake Style.
